Marketing to Millennial
It may be hard to believe that the Millennial generation is growing up and having babies! You may be wondering how, as a business, you can even market to the Millennial generation. If you want to have some ideas under your sleeve, then you need to check out these tips for marketing to Millennials.
Use Social Media
When you want to market to Millennials, social media is a given. You need to invest in at least 2-3 social media platforms to reach that target audience. I will let you in on a little secret. Not everyone who uses Facebook, uses other social media platforms, like Snap Chat.
You cannot just expect to start a website and social media accounts and expect Millennials to stay. You really have to lure them in and then keeping giving them bait. I don’t mean to sound generic, but it’s true. What’s the point in having something like a Facebook business page if you’re not going to use it?
Don’t be Generic
Seriously, the millennial generation will call you out on being generic. I think one of the top ways to reach this generation is to be 100% authentic and real. Don’t sugar coat, give it to them straight. If this is your target market, you really need to keep this in mind as you try and market to them.
Switch Things Up
Millennials are never staying in the same spot twice. They like to switch things up. Make sure you’re also not remaining stagnant in your marketing. Try new things and don’t be afraid to be different in the marketing world. Doing the same thing as everyone else, doesn’t always win. Being different CAN be a good thing. Not that you can’t take things you have learned and apply them to your situation, but being different is definitely good.
